The Ontario Genomics Institute (OGI) and The Centre for Applied Genomics (TCAG) DAnCER Webinar

The Ontario Genomics Institute (OGI) and The Centre for Applied Genomics (TCAG) are hosting a 1 hour web conference/webinar about the most recent release of DAnCER - a database on genes and proteins involved in chromatin modifications, and their relation to human disease.

The webinar will show how to use DAnCER to retrieve, visualize and explore the following information:

  • Genes involved in different types of epigenetic modifications across several model organisms
  • Physical interactions of chromatin-modifying proteins with each other and with proteins of other functional types, such as transcription factors or kinases
  • Next-generation sequencing data on DNA binding (ChIP-seq) related to chromatin modifications
  • Diseases, including mental disorders, that are associated with epigenetic factors and their interaction networks

The webinar will be appropriate for all levels from graduate student to principal investigator, and can benefit both new and experienced researchers in the area of epigenomics. The presentation will be led by Dr. Andrei Turinsky, Molecular Structure and Function Program, Research Institute, The Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto.
